Our Co-Chief Executive Officer, Brock Hart, is a serial entrepreneur focused on helping organizations embrace innovation through design. As a former Creative Director and award-winning designer with an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Design, he is passionate about the power of human centered design to make things better. Since co-founding Overlap in 2011, Brock has served as a trusted advisor to organizations and leaders who are ready to radically change in order to achieve true transformation. Adept at bringing people together around big ideas, Brock is a visionary thinker and an extraordinary facilitator. Brock also leads the Transformation Design team at Overlap, guiding the team to deliver our work with excellence across projects and sectors.

Ryan Voisin

School Director

Ryan is the Director of Innovation Programs at Overlap. He designs and delivers programming for organizations to increase their capacity for innovation, facilitating conversations between organizations and their key stakeholders to understand and design for diverse perspectives. Through his years of experience working in knowledge integration and strategic foresight and innovation, he continues to develop his expertise in design thinking, strategic design, and futures / long term planning. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Knowledge Integration (BKI) from the University of Waterloo, and a Master of Design (MDes) from OCAD University. 
Cherise

Cherise Carlaw

Learning Facilitator

As a designer at Overlap, Cherise helps organizations build capacity for human-centred design through facilitating training labs and delivering compelling, research-driven narratives. Her passion for design is informed by her experience working with diverse audiences to develop strategic plans and marketing initiatives within the public and private sectors.

Cherise is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive environment where all voices are heard and all assumptions are challenged. Experience has taught her that diverse perspectives are key to finding creative solutions to complex problems. She holds a Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Communication Design from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University.
